We are getting ready for a full main bathroom remodel. We have purchased marble (silver/grey/brown) 12x24 and 2x4 tiles for the shower/tub area. We ordered bullnose for the shower/tub area in the matching marble. We are using a white porcelain for the flooring. Our contractor suggested we use the same marble bullnose from the shower for the floor (we hadn't thought of bullnose for the floor initially). We are only tiling the tub/shower area and the floor - no other wall tiles. My contractor suggested that since one area of the shower tile will meet the floor, in order to have a clean consistent look, we should continue the matching marble bullnose around the perimeter of the bathroom floor… the white porcelain would fill the rest of the floor.

I'm so unsure of the right way to do this and would really appreciate feedback. Do I need to use bullnose to surround the floor tile? Is it normal to have marble bullnose that matches the shower tile continue around the perimeter of the floor that has a completely different type and color of tile? Any help is very greatly appreciated!
