We have an American range and the only thing I don't like is the burners don't go low enough for a true simmer. We added a cast iron ring on one burner. Otherwise we love it. I love the pull out pan for cleaning. Our last stove (DCS) had closed burners and they can not really be thoroughly cleaned. I much prefer the open burners on the American. It looks great in person.

I've had an NXR range for about a year and a half and am very happy with it. These are the the features I especially like:
- all 4 burners are 15k BTUs max and adjust to a true simmer
- the surface is very easy to clean
- a lip at the front edge of the range keeps spatters from hitting the control knobs
- the oven is well calibrated - I always check temperature with an oven thermometer when baking or roasting
- oven has good lights, one in each side wall
- oven racks slide out very easily and there are about 10 rack positions
- convection is nice for faster baking
- the square oven window and the straight oven door handle, which matches perfectly the handles on my KitchenAid Pro refrigerator (I happen to dislike the curved handles found on many appliances)
- Good service - I needed warranty service once for a faulty burner; used the company recommended by manufacturer. They came within a few days, checked out all burners and the oven, in addition to the faulty burner, and sent a replacement for the faulty burner part within a week.

The oven is manual clean, but that has not been a problem. The interior enamel is easy to wipe for small spills. Grease from chicken and turkey roasting (I use the high-heat method) can be easily wiped off if you leave a small bowl of ammonia overnight in a cold oven.

All in all, it's a terrific stove and very nice looking.

We have had an NXR for 6 months purchased from Costco online and love it.
Best deal on a commercial style range we could find. Parts are pretty generic and easily serviced. Shares many same parts as many top pro style ranges, Wolf, DSC, Viking, etc. Everything is manual and no electronics other than lights, fan, igniters. Oven is not as even a heat as you would get in an electric. Range top burners are excellent with a true simmer. Highly recommend accessory center grate. Heavy duty with the semi pro look and fuction. We highly recommend it and do not really miss the timers and other assorted electronics on our previous electric radiant range (I thought I couldn't live without the bells and whistles like built in timer and auto off but I haven't missed those features at all... The gas cooking and solid nature of this range more than make up for those things).

I have had a 30" NXR for about 10 years. I would describe as very dependable and powerful heating. The stove top burnbers are sensoitve at imes.I do think they may need replacement parts. But they all function still. Nothing has ever broken.

Very good materials were used. Temp copntrol on all burners is excellent. This stove is used excessively yet does not show wear. Had other quality brands in commercial type ranges, all had problems annoying me.

I’ve now owned the NXR for almost 8 years and still love it. Other then a couple oven igniter replacements, has been solid. Love the simple, non-computerized commercial style. I cook meals everyday and it’s been dependable for all of it. No frills but really no issues either.
