This dumbwaiter is all electric. Meets state elevator code which is required. Has a call button on both levels with safety interlocks. The motor is below the unit in the lower level. This photo shows the location in the upper level.

I was the contractor on this project. The dumbwaiter was sold & installed by Nationwide Lifts. They may have other types available but there are other manufacturers too. I know that there are manufacturers that make hydraulic units. I chose this one because of state codes that I had to adhere to.
