sage green would go nicely with the woods you have ferndale quartz counters or my fave ubatuba granite the green might have to be a little on the olive side to go really well with the granite

The monotone of the cabinet's grain makes it look like a computer generated drawing. I agree with rachel and Patricia, paint them or at least paint some of them. Perhaps after the painting is done, the countertop can stay.

It looks rather like a Lindal Cedar home that I owned about ten years ago. Had the same issue of kitchen in the center of the house. This looks like a very nice job, though perhaps the countertop color is not absolutely ideal.

Cabinetry doesn't have to *match* existing hardwood floors. Back in the day, there was only one kind of hardwood, and the expectation of matchy-matchy did not exist.

On the other hand, the grey picks up the tone in your fireplace stone, and there seems to be a grey tone in the cabinetry itself. Overall, I consider it a pretty good choice, really better than black, which has been overdone.

The only thing I don't like about it is the bullnozing, but that's being picky.

It looks like a well thought out kitchen for a difficult space, I can see all the zones.
The cabinets look good for painting. perhaps when you do, you could add something to the top of the cabinets to make the height the same, so when you look down it looks level, or give it a ceiling/mezz.
I like this black kitchen....then saw sstarrs post, ah still like it though!

It is odd that the kitchen space is not defined by the ceiling. Part of the kitchen has an eight or nine foot ceiling and the rest of the kitchen has a vaulted ceiling. I try to avoid this in my designs, and I doubt if you want to go down that path.

My mezz idea would spoil your great view, ignore that.
If the cabinet levels that would normally have a ceiling to disguise them were visually level on top, and a same background splash meeting it, it would look better,
Simple changes could make it great.
