I am picking out light fixtures for my open concept new home. I have picked out the ideal light for my living room. It only comes in chrome. The pendants I'm looking at for over my breakfast bar which separates the kitchen and living room are brushed nickel. I can get them in chrome but the globes are clear glass whereas with the brushed nickel they are mercury glass. I like this shade best. Is mixing the finishes a no no?
