My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What type of wood is this flooring and was it stained?

    One more thing. After checking numerous flooring stores and local home improvement stores, I went to the local newspaper on-line want ads. I found an ad for 470 sq. ft. of 3/4" by 5 1/2" hickory for $1300. Usually about $5.50 to $6.00 per ft., or around $3000. I sent a text saying, "How about $800?" and the seller said "We'll take it." It was a steal. Be sure to look online for all your needs. Craigs List, etc. Could save you a lot of $.

      It does look like a wide plank hickory, clear grade too. The distinct edges make me think it would a beveled edge product and therefore most likely prefinished.

      The hickory I used was 3/4" tongue and groove, prefinished with a clear coat. Colors ran from a light blond to a deep chocolate. Very nice.

      Looks like our flooring which is 5" wide prefinished "Red Birch".....ours varies from very light to medium tones but overall has similar look as this.
