Stained, solid oak cabinets need a makeover. The sprayed-on, tinted lacquer finish is wearing off and the hinges are breaking. We can't afford to replace everything, but need to do something about the unsightly, dated, worn kitchen. My preference would be for something very low maintenance, and I would like something lighter, more contemporary. Please advise!
