You will have the mixer forever so my advice would be to buy the color that makes you happy when you look at it. If it matches your house, fine.....if not, it will stand out on your counter like the piece of kitchen art that it is! I've had mine many years, bought back when there were only a couple colors to choose from (its white), it sits out on my counter since I use it almost every day. My kitchens since then have been many colors, but the white mixer always looks great even if it is 27 years old.

metallic. I would not have it on display anyway.... put it in the pantry.

Beautiful home! If the kitchen is open to the living area in your third pic - I might also consider majestic yellow, cornflower blue, french blue and cobalt blue.

Ann I hadn't even thought of the Yellow one before but now that I think about it it looks interesting. I am also looking at the Imperial Black one now because of the rustic black I have on my chandeliers, bar stools and such...
I would actually like to leave it out on the counter as I think they are beautiful

I have red and raspberry and want at least one more. Everything in my house is very colorful though. I have a purple toaster and teapot, turquoise coffee maker, multi color knives in a block, etc. I even have colored appliances. My advice to you is to get your favorite color whatever that is. It doesn't have to "match". You need some color in your kitchen girl. It's nice but needs color. Green apple or pear would look great in there. Just my 2 cents. Get what calls out to you.

@ann and @Denita thank you!! I am now really liking the majestic yellow and the cornflower blue! You are right I think it would go nice with the rooms attached to it! But then I just noticed "caviar" with its sparkle :-) And the wall in my dining and living room by now is more colorful as I painted the wall a light grey with hints of blue and the trim a stronger blue (I am still looking for a photo of the wall colors...)

You've probably answered this and I missed it, but is the room in the third pic open to the kitchen? I love majestic yellow with the colors in that rug and the pillows in that room. That's a fantastic room!

I just don't know about the ice color. It doesn't feel right for that kitchen. I like the other three.

Love your home! The black would be safe and probably match regardless of future color changes, but I really like the color choices. The yellow or blue would look lovely and be a nice cheerful pop of color!

I would personally keep the kitchen aide in the cabinet ...we have an all new white kitchen and to add color we use flowers and bowls of fruit and even sometimes different bottles of wine...our kithchen aide is silver to match our Apia fed but stays tucked away!

To match our appliances...but we usually keep it tucked away...

I like the black....Do they have a charcoal gray?

I looked at a lot of people's KitchenAid Mixer photos now on Instagram and noticed that the light colored ones have sort of a vintage feel to them whereas the metallics, Black and white feel more timeless.
Looking at yellow one does make me feel giddy though

I say get what makes you feel giddy! If you change your mind down the road, you can always sell it and get another color or put it in the cupboard.

The yellow one would look great with your cabinetry and with the adjacent room. Your kitchen has a very warm feel to it, so I think a warm colour would suit it best! Gorgeous home, by the way.

Gotta say, the majestic yellow is my favorite for your space:)

I have white, and it has looked good in every kitchen I have owned.

I'm going to pipe in my 2 cents though...the link you posted was to a tilt model I believe. If you keep your mixer on a counter with a cabinet above it that is standard height you will have to pull it out from under the cabinets to tilt the head back. With the bowl lift that isn't a problem. Just something to think about, for me after owning a bowl life model it's the only kind I would own.

Also, mine is about 10 years old and is part of the "heavy duty" line. A bit less expensive that your link, so hopefully that means better quality. A few years back the oil in the machine started breaking down and dripping grease. When we ripped it down we discover that they now use plastic parts for some of the gears, and upon further research I learned that there are some issues with gears breaking if you try to mix something that you just don't have enough torque to. So, do you homework and buy one with no plastic gears if you can afford it. Also, after 10 years mine makes a burning smell when I do bread dough in it, so I think I'll be the next one asking for a mixer color recommendation, not all new kitchenaides last forever...

Love your kitchen and the colour I think will give a zap to the room is the buttercup yellow as opposed to the majestic. Any of the colours are good but some are a bit paler/more washed out and I would suggest going for the more intense colour every time. Live for today and forget long term ! You might and probably will choose a different scheme for the kitchen and it's a good excuse to get another ! ( All Dualitt stuff lasts as each and every part of every appliance can be replaced and no I am not on commission - aah if only ) Look forward to seeing the end result.

I would love to say that a soft yellow would look nice based on the living room but if you are just looking at the kitchen, it may stick out like a sore thumb. I personally like the almond cream. It's classic and timeless. It can work in your modernized kitchen as well as a 50's kitchen. Its clean, without being too modern... a little more homey.

I'm way late on this thread, lol and know you've chosen your yellow mixer, which I'm glad you settled on one and hope it goes nicely with your room.

At first sight of your kitchen *despite the yellow and grays eating area* with the dishes in the back and flooring, cabinets, etc, I automatically thought of the Copper mixer, both pro and custom, they would also look absolutely devastatingly gorgeous with your color scheme in your kitchen.

Yellow! Definitely yellow! Btw - gorgeous home :-)
