Your room is picture perfect! The mantel is taken over by the tv. Not much else you can do.

Since your TV is hanging way above the window frames, you definitely need floor to ceiling drapery treatments to compensate. They'll look better and enhance your space even if you leave the TV there. Your art grouping is hanging too high. The center point of it should be 5' above the floor, and again, below the window frames. You and your stuff live below the window and door frames, and that's where you decorate. Without seeing the other two walls of this space it is hard to advise, but I'd want the TV where the art is above a credenza that is at least 25% longer than the width of the TV. I'd turn the sectional and rug, put the accent chair on the other side of the FP and move the art elsewhere. Not sure where without seeing more pix. Comment here and attach more images for more help.

I agree on the tv, debated with husband and finally gave in. Thank you. I also think chair looks lonely. I was thinking of adding some kind of old box or basket to but throws in next to it.

Try a ceramic garden stool for a table with it.

Here's all views. The ceilings are 9ft. And the wall behind the couch, I intend on changing. It was a rough gallery wall attempt. The plan will be for it look more like the 4th picture.

I love your gallery wall but I would not put another one over the sofa. You will not like to hear this but your dining rug is way to small.

Thank you. The dining table is big right now, I haven't taken the leaf out since we had company, but I'm still looking for the right rug. And it will be bigger, and probably square, since the table is square when the leaf is in it.

I think you should add a center piece at the top of the fire place, like a clock, or a bowl full of something you like such as sea shells or pine cones or fake fruit. And you could also put some pictures of to the side.

Are you referring to her clock above the door in the dining room? If so it's fine where it is. I've never heard "all art hangs at eye level" before.... who's eye, exactly?

Generally, in a private home, "eye level" refers to the level of the seated viewer's eye as they look at the art. You should not have to tilt your head back to appreciate it. A good rule to follow is 5-5-75; center 5' above the floor if hanging alone, bottom 5" above furniture it hangs above something, width no more than 75% of the furniture's width. Usually balance is maintained when art hangs below the top of door and window frames and has more space between it and the ceiling than between it and the furniture it is with. Above a mantel I like the picture or mirror to be about the same width as the firebox opening. There are always exceptions, but for the majority of art and rooms these "rules" work well.

I agree with decoentusiaste on the drapes and the level of the art. As far as the tv, because it is so large it does overpower the design. Have you thought about putting a cover over it? Something like this? It's a bit pricy but it gives you an idea. When searching TV Cover-up there are a ton of ideas ( https://www.houzz.com/photos/tv-cover-phbr0lbl-bl~l_44638). I too will be doing something similar when I move my television to the wall. Good luck!

Move the tv & get a nice piece of artwork or a pretty mantle clock for the fireplace.

The flooring is bamboo. The color is called lava, the maker is natural expressions. They are difficult to keep clean, but I love them so much, I don't mind the maintenance.
The rug is a target find. Very inexpensive.

The tv isn't going anywhere though, we committed to that with in wall wiring for it to the receiver and the surround sound is built into the ceiling for this setup. Since we just finished this project 2 months ago, we won't be changing it any time soon. I will however look to find new curtains that will fill the entire floor to ceiling space. I think your home is beautiful..as far as the fireplace goes, the mantle and surround look small to me. Maybe if you made the mantle deeper it wouldn't be over powered by tv
