You have to have at least one person on board on your end with a clear vision of what you want for the space. Design by committee leads to the lowest common denominator pop culture choices with zero style cohesion. You know the old joke: a camel is a horse designed by a committee. Withut a central vision, you'll have an even worse mashup.

I feel like I have a great vision, as does my partner. The architect is guiding us, but I feel like there is so much the minds on here can add as I go. Just not sure the best way to use the tool.

Think about going room by room, stating your vision, color palette, style likes (maybe by way of inspiration photos) and pics of the room if possible.
