    More open to entertain

Love the corner bench.....plus everyone loves to eat sitting on a cushiony bench than a chair

My kitchen is a little retro and a little confused! LOL

I love clean, fresh white, with a splash of colour and not cluttered.

I have a restaurant style "booth" in my kitchen. It sits a lot of people & it always gets noticed.
I life neutral & comfortable with FUN colors. I have a glass top cafe table with colorful pillows on the seats.

A kitchen that opens up to the outside (eg a deck or patio) with a breakfast bench that can be on the outside looking in to the kitchen for converatsion with the cook or looking out on to nature

None of those shown. I like a round or 6 sided table with comfortable chairs on wheels.

I love the look of the corner bench
I voted for the diner style table because my kitchen is retro. With a 1940's gas stove and bright colors.

    Love modern but 'homey' feel.

The cozy corner is my favorite area! Perfect place to visit with family or friends in a relaxing atmosphere!

Love the benches. Right now I have a tiny nook but can't put in a bench due to a patio door in the way:(

The first one looks welcoming and cozy.

Our kitchen is modern and open to the living area. We have a small bar area for quick meals.

I like the bump out but the corner nook looks very cozy

Our kitchen is "old world".... cushioned benches around long wooden table, loveseat, wood-burning stove [for heating, not cooking!], beamed ceiling, open shelves, rustic Mexican blue tiles, warm yellow walls hanging copper pots and baskets, wood floor + modern ss apliances. We built it in 1979 and still love it.

Love the corner bench. Great use of space!!

We are in the planning stages of a 100 year old farmhouse renovation. I love the white cabinet look with black countertops. We will be including some built-ins from my grandparent's old farmhouse. It will be a labor of love!

My husband and I both much prefer chairs at the table. That said however, I do love the corner bench decor. It would fit with our modified country French kitchen.

I love breakfast nooks! My late grandmother had one in her kitchen and I simply adored it.
I like a big farm house kitchen with open shelves full of pantry goods, a long wooden work area at one end and a huge family-friendly round table at the other end!

The bench corner is warm, cozy, cheerful, light, bright and comfortable. My golden oak table with claw feet and ladder back chairs sits in front of an eight foot bay window.

I love the cozy corner nook, lots of storage under the seats and it's a place I could sit and read all day!

We have a galley style kitchen with a 9' x 9' area with a round table and 4 chairs. There is also a narrow bookcase, 9" depth along the wall that doesn't have much use to store anything.

I have a very open concept on the main floor. Bathroom wall is the only separation. Wonderful for entertaining. No dining table, yet, but seating for 6 at the island.

Love the restaurant style - overall this design speaks to me - it is modern, tasteful and urban. I imagine that after having had my morning espresso in this kitchen I would be charged with right kind of energy to face the world and tackle all my challenges in the busy cosmopolitan city. I am currently thinking about remodelling my new house and this picture goes wright onto my concept board!

I voted for the restaurant door, only because it has the largest table. All the other seating options look like too few chairs or a tiny table. I like the style of the first one best but the table isn't large enough for the long bench. And the white, upholstered chair is either the wrong color or wrong style. Can't see that working!

I voted corner bench but I must say I like very the cafe style table too
  • 12 years ago
Love a kitchen with a good old fashioned kitchen table, a harvest table.
I like the cafe style one, you can be flexible with moving them around when need be.
No. 3 - it is clean, modern and unfussy

I voted "the corner bench" No. 1 as it boosts seating in a casual kitchen area, adds additional storage, and makes the kitchen much more welcoming!
I really like modern/contemporary kitchens - they are super functional and clean!

I really prefer my kitchen, with its antique work table and original cabinetry. I'm considering my options for renovation, but it will never be modern as all of the pix above.

    Galley country style.

My vote goes to the corner bench for 2 reasons: it appears comfortable & cozy.

corner bench--I can imagine a family enjoying breakfast or lunch here--although I don't think I would use white if there was going to be food and grandchildren involved. My nook is adjacent to French doors leading out to a Florida room and it has been difficult to select a table or furnishings to utilize the space while still being to access the doors.

I normally like the modern look however, the mosaic tiled nook caught my eye and the feeling I got was pure happiness. Love the colorful wall and pillows.
Love both the height and glass circles on the door. Whimsical yet very stylish and modern.
I have to have my rectangular table pushed up against the wall in the kitchen, but we are moving next month. I am excited about knocking out a kitchen wall and finally having an island...hopefully.
I prefer the sitting room - with a TV view, cushion on my lap, plate on.
    Love the corner bench!
Love the mosaic tiled nook, but that is because it looks the most homey. My kitchen is typical suburban if that is a style!
Just love how you would feel so at home in the corner of the kitchen and it looks comfortable, elegant, and modern. The windows provide enough light and the bench can become a reading corner as well ,as one lingers over a second cup of coffee
  • 12 years ago
Love the lively Cuban tiled wall, the colors, the overhead hanging lighting, the round table in a square room. However, I think I would prefer chairs to benches in my kitchen as it would make my guests more comfortable than having to slide in and out along benches.

My dream is a galley with a wide aisle. The dining area at the end, glassed in on three sides, opens for al fresco dining.

My kitchen is black and white with dining area with a black dining set. Table, chairs, buffet and china cabinet. I can do any color for any Season, Holiday or occasion. This is why I chose black and white. It's quite beautiful and cozy.

Breakfast nook with buffet style table.
