They are quite similar but looks great as a floor plan.

I like elements of each, and think that considerations may be proximity to TV/Living room and sleeping children in one versus walking past the kitchen to get to the living room in the other. What stands out in particular, however, is the large, shared bathroom. Assuming your children are young, now, will this same arrangement serve when the kids are older?

Not too much difference in the plan(s). Just make sure you have adequate closet placement and space. I will ask, where is this home to be built? Nothing specific, just the State info will suffice. Homes may vary from place to place based on climate. I notice you have a "lot of glass" on the walls. This may affect adequate cooling/heating in some areas. Hope your not in Alaska or Minnesota.... lol...:)

I have done it again, from the scrach :) Look at this modification - Kitchen remains open with separate dinning room, living room gets more space, there is a master bedroom where the kitchen was before. Moreover two smaller bedrooms got their own bathrooms and smaller closets. Office stays where it was. Now, with this layout the large fancy closet is gone.
Any comments?

HI -- Keep looking for a plan because nothing so far is looking very good . The second plan, the living section is better but the bedroom side is just not right . The bathrooms don't work at all . The first plan has the toilet right at the door. Have a look at some of the Australian house plans --- they are great ! Or search for "modern house floor plans " Or just go to an architect and get a proper plan done .
