Organic Rooftop Green Garden

Hello,
My design dilemma has to do with growing fruits and vegetables on a rooftop garden, I am unsure how I should arrange the plants in my compact planter boxes; I think the best thing to do is to just vertical veggies like tomatoes so I can maximize space.
