My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What type of wood?

    It is an engineered hardwood, not unfinished jsut appears that way as it doesn't have a glossy finish. It is "white oak wire brushed Alaska olio". Apparently you can rub an oil product on to rejuvenate it whenever you feel necessary instead of the standard re-sanding process.

      Hmmm...I'm looking at the I do I have and the only thing I can find is "white oak wire brushed 5" Alaska Olio". It was bought and installed by Divine Hardwood here and Calgary and I'm sure they'd be able to give you more info. 403-285-2188. Good luck!
