I have a corner sink single bowl (25x22) and would like to put in a double bowl sink. The base cabinet is on the diagnal 25" with the sides at 45 degrees to each wall. Does anyone make such a sink anymore?

Are you looking for a top mount sink or and under mount sink? A small under mount dual bowl sink would be the ASU111 from Dawn. This sink can be had in a left or right configuration. Double check your cabinet against the specs to see if this would work. You can see more info here: ASU111

We are templating for new counters this week and would like to replace our current D shape sink with a rectangular. Our cabinet measures 24" outside (left to right), 22.5" inside (left to right). What is the max left to right length sink we can fit in this space? I think our dilemma is the same as previous customers, we are trying to fit the biggest sink possible in the space.

@Isinar, Are you recutting the hole that the current D sink is in? or is this a brand new top?

I also have cabinets that are 22 1/2" left to right inside and 24" left to right outside. If I recut the existing countertop would I be able to install an apron front sink that is 23 5/8"?

@mjpetta- if you have a standard base cabinet, it will not work with a standard apron front. You'd have to find a retrofit apron front sink (which for a 24" size, I'm not aware of any manufacturer that makes one); a very shallow farmhouse sink that would fit in the space of the false panel OR have a sink custom made for your application.

You'd have to measure the inside of your 24" cabinet, and see if it is larger than the bowl size of the sink. From the information given, I'd say that sink is too big for your sink base cabinet.

It's not the overall vanity size that is the issue: that is matter of opinion/use/need. It's getting a sink to fit your 24" sink base cabinet. The standard rectangle bathroom sink size is 18" x 13" (inside dimension).

Valerierobinson. How did the d shaped sink work out for you? Do you feel it's an ok size? If you could do over would you opt for the apron?

I put a VIGO undermout sink in my 24" cabinet. It was perfect. The inside dimension of the sink is 22x18x10 and it fit perfect. Doing another project now and using the same sink. Fills the space.

I am in the same boat - needing to maximize sink size on a 24" base. I have an existing granite counter but willing to change it out if I have to is an undermount will work better. I was planning on having the existing sink hole cut larger. Currently have a drop in that measures 18" X 18" but interior is only 16 X 14". I have heard cutting an already installed countertop is never going to come out great so a drop in is best. HOwever the drop ins are so small on the basin. I only have 22.5 counter width on top as it comes up against the side splash. Also wondering about the Vigo sink - not finding it online. Thanks!

You can put a 24" sink into a 24" cabinet easily if you strap it with a Hercules Universal Sink Harness (Braxton Bragg) or a Sink Strap (Regent Stone Products) instead of using the manufacturer-supplied clips.

I enlarge, profile, and polish sink openings regularly and have never gotten a single complaint, so no drop-in is necessary.

Do you have a recommendation between the two brands as our counter is already installed, so I would need to use the added side brackets with the Regent straps. I feel the strap from Regent looks more sturdy than the picture frame type wire from Braxton but Braxton looks like an easier install.

I am having the same problem as many of the above. I have a 24”sink base with a 21” (front to back) depth. I need the largest stainless steel sink I can get and still have room to put in a faucet. We want undermount and a single hole faucet. Help is appreciated.

Between what two brands, please? Because it's fully adjustable after it's installed, the Sink Strap is easier to install because you don't have to guess/adjust at the wire measurement as you do with the HUSH.

What is adjacent to your sink? There is no law that you must have a faucet be centered. I'd take a larger sink with a side mounted faucet over a smaller sink with a centered faucet.

In a very compact (but luxe) kitchen, I have used a 21" x 21" sink, extra deep, and placed the faucet over the left back corner. Works like a charm. In other installs, even with larger sinks, I have found that the specifics of cabinet construction, plumbing and preferences over placement of faucet, soap dispensers, etc. can create complications--don't assume--verify.

Joseph, I will have 12”” set of drawers on either side. We have thought about a side mount faucet.

A., can you tell me how you installed the 23" sink in the 24" cabinet? I'd love to do the same, and this is a perfect sink. Did you notch out the top of the cabinet sides enough for the depth of the flange to rest, and then use a sink strap to attach the sink to the cabinet? Thanks for any feedback.

Why have two small sinks? Contact Stainless Supply and have them build you a double bowl 48" sink with a low divide.

Check out 5th Ave Fixtures. They have sinks you get fast on amazon. They make the largest sinks to fit into a 24” and a 30” and possibly others. They are deep as well and are 16 Gauge and amazing quality. They have a 22” sink that will fit no problem in a 24” sink base cabinet and they make is 18.5” front to back so there is room for your kitchen faucet to go behind. Some companies make the sinks 19” but then it is to tight to turn the faucet handle on and off and you can hit the backsplash. Im telling you 5th Ave Fixtures has thought of it all. Just type 5th Ave fixtures into google or on amazon and they should pop up. Best quality all around sink in town.
