I like that you did not go overboard with the knick-knacks and make it too busy. However there is not much color on the shelves. Most pieces I can make out are mainly clear and do not show up as well. Big improvement though from the before pic!

I think that some of your pieces are too small. I would place larger pieces then add smaller pieces.

I would put two items per shelf, each the size of those large vases or a dinner plate. Simple and mostly empty. Show the space, not the knickknacks.

The full table settings look disquieting.

We are staging to sell. Unfortunately the cabinet doesn't have notches to stand plates up. I'm trying to use what I have without spending money.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant to use things the size of dinner plates, not actual dinner plates. No need to buy anything. The china cabinet has good proportions and really looks like it needs very little.

Cathy hedge if you are staging to sell. If at all possible see if you can put it in storage unless you have a really really big space with lots of light. Hutches can take over the room and distract buyers from the bones of the room. They can also make a room look dated.

lasa, excellent idea about storing larger pieces of furniture since the house is being sold. Any large or unnecessary pieces should be removed if you can afford to do so. Also any personal items such as photos, etc. I heard once that when you put your home on the market, it is no longer your home. You want it to be someone else's, so the less of your belongings the better.
