I'm remodeling this single story 1980's "ranch". I'm considering cedar stained shutters for the front windows. I'm trying to minimize the pink in the brick so we're painting the exterior wood with Sherwin Williams Pewter Cast and boxing the from pillars with stained cedar and changing the front door and sidelites too. As you can see the house is too balanced so I'm hoping to address that with landscaping variations. My issue is I have a real problem with shutters that don't actually fit windows so the shutters would be really large ( approx. 32x71 with a curve to match the eyebrow. Too big for the house?
