Hi lizz9977--this is Mark at Kohler. For these stock product photos, we use black laminate and raw press board, painted black. This solution works in photos, but is not intended for an in home installation. Hope this helps!

But if you like this look, may I suggest Absolute Black granite and have it honed. I have had it in my kitchen for over 6 years and love it. I am thinking of putting in my bathroom as well on my white wood vanities if I don't go with white carrera marble. Have fun!
