Unfortunately this fixture is a fixed semi-flush fixture. This means that the stem and canopy are a solid piece without the ability to angle or extend the rod. Try looking for a shallow pendant fixture and hang it as tight as possible to the ceiling. Most of these fixtures have a hang straight ball which accommodates for angled ceilings.
