I think the illusion of space created by mirrored doors is fine, the horror of waking in a room with them when you get out of bed, the worst possible way to start yoiur day.

If you can keep your home really neat, mirrored doors are great; if you are inclined to clutter, the mirrors will amplify your mess!

I like a mirror near the closet, but don't think I'd want several in a row...agree with Mrs.D. Maybe if I was 25 and firm bodied again..ah well.

We have an dlder age friend who has giant mirrored doors on his closets, right across the room from there bed.... I wouldv'e already hung myself from the ceiling fan!

Sustainable- perhaps your friend has poor vision;)

I used to have mirror sliding closet doors but they are outdated so go for regular double doors and hang the mirror inside.

I have a full length mirror on the back of my walk-in closet door, that way I can either choose to look...or not.

Growing up, all the closets in my house had mirrored doors with horrid gold frames (thank you, 90s). I've avoided them at all costs since then.

The mirrors should be reserved for over the bed. Just kidding guys. ;)

It depends on the room. If it's a small room, then the mirrors can give the illusion that the room is bigger. If the room is already big, then the mirrors aren't needed.

Mirrors if the room is small but beautiful (you need beauty to reflect not clutter). No mirrors if the room is spacious ;)

Mirrors if your body is perfect, or if you can streak past without seeing your reflection. Wood if you are my age.

Who wants to clean the mirrors?

Glad it's not just me who'd be horrified to see myself first thing in the morning! I'm cracking up reading some of these comments!

Hey... in the day (many, many days ago) I actually had mirrored ceiling over my bed... that is when I was a Jenny McCarthy double and could do some gymnastic tricks that would make cowboys blush.... Now, not so much, its the Lord's way of making us pay for past sins.... LOL

Full length mirror on my closet but I don't put on my glasses til I have dressed and ran a comb through my bed head.
Like both rooms, but, Mrs. Doubtfire, ditto.

Across from my bed I have my triple dresser with two tall mirrors. I can see myself now as I type this so I can see myself when I get up in the morning. I certainly don't need to have a wall of mirrors to remind me of what I look like.

No mirrored closet doors, please! It's bad Feng Shui to have the bed reflected in a mirror. Hahaha, Doubtfire!!

I really really really do not approve mirrored closet doors. I like curtains covering a closet.
Curtains covering closet. It's nice and accommodating if you are a little messy.

I'd have mirrored doors. If I wanted my bedroom to feel like the swim suit change room. All you'd need is the terrible florescent lights to bring it all back. Oh, the horror!

If closet doors span a wall, I want them to "work" the room. So, I either would invest in fabulous custom doors like those from Raumplus or mirrors which always add some ZIP. C'mon. I'm advocating some self-love here. And if you absolutely loath your body, exercise more and go on a fresh juice diet. If the room is messy, clean it up. Just read here on Houzz about setting a timer for quick cleans of a few minutes at a shot (but reset if you're on a roll!). A shame to waste the good part of one fourth of a room on mediocrity whatever you choose.
