I've been painting acrylic for a couple of years now, and I painted A LOT, on moderately large canvases (2' by 3' or larger). I've sold a few, and been commissioned a few times. I've given away and painted over work I no longer want. The thing is, I paint faster than I sell, and my pile of finished paintings has grown. I've hung a bunch, but other than that I'm storing them in my small basement, by packaging them in spare cardboard and leaning them against each other. It's messy and nearly impossible to get a specific one out when I want it. Has anyone ever dealt with storing large canvases? The largest is 3' by 4'. The problem with stretch canvas is you have to worry about them getting dented. It doesn't have to look pretty, just be practical. Any help would be appreciated!
