My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Was the fireplace built from scratch, or made from a kit? Any construction details would be helpful. Thank you.

    Yes, built from scratch. Framed over an existing stone hearth that used to hold a pot belly stove. Plasterer used drywall, then plaster mud to create the shape. This requires an experienced plasterer, it's an art .

    Did you use a rectangular fire box and arch the opening or is it a real masonry built fp with a flue
