I would like to add a breakfast bar into my current layout which I am in the process of updating. The existing peninsula will move 12 inches to the end of the wall in the breakfast area. If I extend the countertop there to have an overhang it leaves and awkward corner coming in from the sliding door. We do not have the financial means to totally gut or move walls. Any ideas?
