Quick feedback requested -- wood vs tile in master closet!

I'm having a bit of a dilemma and I was hoping you could give me some advice.

I am having the carpet in my entryway, living room, dining room, and primary hallway ripped out and replaced with hardwood ( http://www.bellacerafloors.com/hardwood-flooring/Ruscello/Birch/Llemona-flooring.aspx specifically).

Eventually I will replace the vinyl in the kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms with tile - leaving the only carpet in the bedrooms.

So I was just thinking today... what if I put hardwood in my two master walkin closets? One closet is off the bathroom (so will have vinyl in bathroom + wood in closet for now, eventually to be wood in closet and tile in bathroom)... and the other closet is off the bedroom itself so would be carpet in the bedroom and wood in the closet.

I am thinking that having hardwood in the closets would make it look really nice (for only around an extra $400) .

What do you think? For an already darkish closet, would darkish wood make it too dreary? Would having tile in the bathroom, but wood in the closet off the bathroom be weird?

Please help! Thanks!
