Radiator Cover

Please tell me is the radiator cover custom-built or store-bought and where can I purchase it? Thanks so much!

    They were custom designed by SchappacherWhite for this loft and custom fabricated. The top is Corian and the front a painted lacquer masonite removable access panel.

    From your experience, how energy efficient is the radiator without the perforated front? I have found some literature claiming that they can even be more effective without the perforation if placed correctly (I have sketches, and it makes sense :-) ), but I haven't done it yet. looking forward to our feedback... Thank you!

    Hi, For convection it requires air circulation from the bottom to the top. Cold air enters at the bottom opening, moves over the heating element and then out the top, or top front edge. If trapped at the top then the cover is getting heated and not the room. Make the cover, or front removable for access. A perforated front would assist with radiation, radiating the heat into the room. Hope this is helpful.
