This kitchen is so beautiful! Could you please tell me if the perimeter countertop is calacatta marble or some other material? Thanks!

Could be Calcutta or statuary. Kinda had to tell if there's gold veins running through with gray. If so its calcutta, if not statuary. Make sure you brush or hone the slabs or..... you'll be very sorry with etching

Thank you very much, a lot of very hard work went into this project to make it come out so beautiful. It is nice to be able to reap the rewards, thank you.

Thanks for responding. There is nothing like the look of marble! Still deciding if I am willing to accept the maintenance involved. Again, that is one beautiful kitchen:)

Lelling, I have BRUSHED marble in my laundry room with dry treat sealer on it. 6 years old and still looks great! I work for a fabricator in the Chicago area. Just like stainlesss the first scratch or stain is awful, then it starts to look like an old French bakery. I would suggest making sure it purposely gets stained especially in the corners and near the splash. Everyone has to be able to handle the "look". It is beautiful! let me know if I can answer any other questions before you put it in.
