I soo wanted a porcelain white farm sink but it the only thing my husband said NO to. So I got a granite sink - large rectangular shape with drain on right end - not the middle. I love it but am still pining over the farm sink. I, glad someone else is going to get one. Go for white porcelain. It's more authentic.

Agreed, granite would be a more durable choice compared with porcelain.

We are in the planning phase of our kitchen remodel and the white farmhouse sink is my one MUST HAVE. I feel like it will suit our old farmhouse wonderfully :)

Farmhouse sinks tend to get a grey scratch or lines on them over time. Of course more vulnerable to chipping. But, like everything, if this is what you really want and it goes better with your design, go for it!
