I am building a new build home that features oak window and door frames, beams and vaulted ceilings. I have been told by our architect and contractor to organise the stairs? We thought this sort of thing was why we have paid to keep an architect on. For our architect to design the stairs we will be billed for another costly drawing, then I will need to find a builder to build them. ( please note , we have a contractor on site now) We have a project manager and contractor and the architect, so with all of these professionals, shouldn't they be sorting the stairs? Is this the norm?
