Love this mirror! What kind of lighting is used behind it? How is it mounted? Thanks.

The mirror is any standard mirror from a glass supplier. The lighting is a SMD 5050 LED Lighting Strip with 150 lights per 5 meters. It can easily be purchased off Amazon. I used the RGB strip versus the plain white and can change the color by IR remote control to just about any color you can think of. The mirror is mounted to the wall using a box frame glued to the back of the mirror that screws into another smaller box frame mounted to the wall so the beams just overlap and can be screwed together from the side.

Thank you so much for the details of how you did this! Looks awesome and you have now inspired me to do this in my powder bath.

where did you plug in the LED strip?

I had a plug added behind the mirror during the original construction, but you could easily extend an existing outlet to a location behind the mirror with a little drywall patching. The trick is to inset a 3-gang electrical box into the drywall to set the transformer for the LED lights. Otherwise the transformer will sit outside the drywall and the mirror will float too far above the drywall.

I'm trying to do the same thing with a much bigger mirror and was wondering how to mount the mirror. I also have a plain frameless mirror. Did you use the liquid nail for mirrors? I was thinking of building a frame and glueing 2x2 frame to mirror and hang like a picture or have you tried the zbars?
