i added that kitchenaid stand mixer cabinet when i did my kitchen renovation. it is one of my best additions yet. super efficient and gets that so heavy mixer out of the way.

Wow- thank you so much for your wonderful feedback!! I will have to pull out the tape measure for exact dimensions, but island is about 7 ft x 3 ft. The before kitchen is smaller- we closed up the original sliders for the fridge/long line of cabinets. Coffee station is under microwave. Hutch is opposite sink, dry bar is next to kitchen in family room.

Awesome job. I want to do the same with a move from a floor to wall oven.........I see it IS possible in the same amount of space.... great transformation!!!

Did you move the window or have roughly 4 ft of space to steal from behind the old kitchen?

We moved the window (it's slightly larger than the old one). The sliders, which you can't see next to kitchen table in before picture) were moved into the family room. I had really wanted marble counters, but decided against with young kids at home. Fell in live with bianco antico granite counters.

I love it and that you went with wood on the floors too. I did this in my last house and really miss the look now.

It's beautiful But I need prep space by the stove top. Having had corner designs before, I've learned they are not as wonderful at the counter top level, as they may first seem. The spaces below the counter in such design, are fabulous however.

Very nice, I dream about knocking down a wall (that I think is a retaining wall) down between kitchen and dr. Oh well, that was really pretty.

Looks very similar to our granite!! Nice looking new kitchen!

Its nice, but i think some good looking classic blue and white tiles installed on the backsplash areas would have made it even better! tiles compliment granite counters very well, and take the cold edge off.
