Thirdstone: I am undergoing a major renovation...

I come back to the LG House again and again while researching Houzz. I love the look of the IKEA materials in this house but fear quality issues. What guidance can you offer regarding IKEA and quality? Also, I want large format tile (24x24) that has similar look to LG House, but can't find something akin on IKEA.

Tough to answer your question without knowing more about what your concern is. Quality is a very subjective thing.

'Polished' tile is what i would suggest to achieve the look of the flooring shown in this image. Also consider using a very thin grout - refer to this system http://www.tuscanleveling.com/

thank you for your consideration. I'm concerned about fiberboard/particleboard kitchen cabinets. How long do these hold up in an average use kitchen. For flooring, I want large format 24x24 tile, but my floor joists are 2x8, 16 inches on center with about 12 foot spans
and I'm told they cannot handle the weight of ceramic. So I am looking at this markland flooring, but does it hold up well or will I need to change it out within 10 years?

Ikea has a 25-year warranty on all their cabinets. They wouldn't do that if they didn't stand by the quality.

Hi, I have two types of tiles that i believe may look close to the colour selected for the picture. Can you take a look and let me know if one of them is close to it in your opinion?
