Ideas for improving curb appeal?

We are in the process of buying this home and I would love some ideas on how to add some extra curb appeal - low maintenance!

Thanks!!

Interesting. I'm an electrician so... I think lighting would bring in curb appeal. The appeal would be contingent on daylight hours of course.
Install recessed cans in the porch. Huge accent of the gorgeous frontage.

Lovely home!! ..Your seating area looks very cozy. I would place a very large black planter/with red flowers, on the landing of your steps.. at the entry point... (next to each of the 2 columns) & then bring your 2 existing (concrete) planters out to the edge of the patio between the middle & side columns. This will give some dimension to your seating area. Can't tell the actual length of your walk to the curb. You could line the walkway on the outside with some evergreen perennials that would also give you some color when they bloom, but would otherwise be green the rest of the year. Maybe paint your front door a deep yellow if you are up for it.

Agree with what Ann said about he curving flower beds. Excellent examples she provided. Azaleas, if you can grow them there.

Not sure what is in those front beds along the steps, but that should be something that will grow 3 feet and look pretty all year with white flowers if possible.

Add landscape lighting, low voltage, at the same time you add landscaping. Include a tall black post lamp at the end of that walkway wherever it's leading.

No fence! If you want a visual boundary at the front of the house, use long standing flower boxes between the columns.

House is picture perfect, needs very little.

As a home gardener for 35 yrs. I like to give a word of caution to new gardeners. When selecting Evergreen SHRUBS for you garden.. always read the tag. It will give you a guideline as to the to width & height that the plant will grow. This size refers to THE SIZE THAT THE PLANT WILL GROW IN 10 YEARS! After that the plant will continue to grow unless it is an "alpine plant" which is a dwarf. Of course the plant can be pruned but there is a limit as to how much pruning can be done (the size will always increase). This does not apply to trees. Have fun & enjoy your lovely home & garden for many years to come!

It's difficult to tell from the photos, but it seems you may have some large trees on your property where you could create a moon-lighting effect with landscape lighting. Check out examples of that on our Houzz profile.
