Heating and cooling requirements are increased as a result of the large areas of glass, but this is mitigated by the fact that the glass is high performing low-E glass and that the windows are north facing with a large deciduous tree outside to reduce summer sun penetration. These photos were taken when the tree was just planted, hopefully it will be offering summer shade by now. Cheers, Joseph
