If you have a concrete drive, I would install a trench drain at least 4' away from the garage doors. That will depend on how much it slopes toward the garage. Best to have some drainage away from the garage first. The drain should be piped around the house or to the best draining point on the site. The water should be directed to the drain and out. I would have a civil engineer size the system.

If you use pavers, a French drain could work because the drainage is also under the pavers. You should use pervious pavers. Typically, there is drainage system of piping under them with specific granular material. The pavers have a larger space and aggregate between them. So they drain better. What is the climate? If it is a cold climate, the ground will freeze and affect its ability to drain. There could still be an issue in the spring. Typically, the drains are oversized to try to avoid freeze up.

What is the square footage on living space?

The house is 2,218 square feet on the main living level. Total finished square footage for the house is about 5,000.

Are there no gutters on this house?

Currently, there are no gutters.

The overhangs are substantial, and there is drainage piping in the ground that runs around the building perimeter and out the back of the property. Catch basins connect to the loop and drain in key areas. We also have drain tile inside and out. We would attach half round gutters if they were ever needed.
