Here's a 'read' from Sherwin Williams on your chaise. Might give you some direction as a backdrop for it. I think I'm leaning toward a chocolaty color, but much depends on what else is going on in the way of fabric in the room. Do you want this to be a show stopper of just fit in with the big picture?

I would like this piece to pop a little. The shutters are white and all other furniture is white. Most of the accents are gold.

Going darker on the wall would make the chaise stand out. Cascades from Sherwin Williams above, or the benjamin moore below, would make an impact, especially having light furniture and trim everywhere else in the room. The gold accents and adding a mirror to break the colour would make it look elegant.

If you want that chaise to stand out, contrasting color is the best option. Definitely try patches of the colors you think you want to use so you can actually see how light affects both of them.

I would suggest going with a gold tone, something with body and depth. Although I prefer Behr paints, look at Glidden's "Tuscan Tan" (not brown/tan at all). Turquoise goes best with certain colors where others might seem to work, but just don't.

Also, you might consider a vanilla color. Against cream/ it pops.

Your best option to help you decide is to search houzz photos for rooms with turquoise furniture and determine which looks you are most drawn to. I thought I wanted to paint my bedroom a gold because I was using dusty aqua for draperies/accents, etc. But on search, I found that the rooms that appealed to me the most were all painted cream! And I'm not a "white" person!

Inkwitch, I think you're onto something. A gold accent wall with off-white on the other three would look incredible. Even something with a pearl effect.
