orfs, I'm not a pro but we also have a large brick fireplace in our family room. You can see what our brick looks like in the first photo. Right now I'm thinking of using SW's Canvas Tan...possibly lightened up a bit. It's a warm neutral color I'm hoping will work with the brick. Also, I like Ben Moore's Maritime White. I found the second photo here on Houzz and loved the wall paint with the fireplace. However, I still haven't been able to find out what color it is...darn!
