I try to use stock colors when I can find a match, but 99% of the time I will remove a piece of the house and have it color matched. I try to find something easy to remove and undamaged by the sun, but sometimes I just tell the paint person to compensate for the fading.

You can buy the small sample size and try it. A good painter will be able to complete the match in the field if it's off, then use this sample as the match for the paint store.

Computer paint matching is mostly very good, and the person behind the counter should be able to make corrections if needed.

Also recommend upgrading your paint to SW Duration -- more expensive, but better paint. Have your painter ask about a Superpaint to Duration upgrade.
