My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    The house is sided with white cedar shingles, natural to weather. This photo is of them less than one year old, and most likely less than 6 months old. The shingles typically turn grey within a year's time.

    Hello Cheney Bros., I am building a home on Long Island and would like to emulate the weathered, natural, Grey cedar look of these White Cedar Shingles. can you please let me know the Name Brand and Model # of the White Cedar Shingle that you prefer to use on Nantucket? Also, how many years can we expect to get out of an untreated white cedar shingle? or do you treat them on a regular basis? we are starting to frame in 2 weeks. thank you, Joe
