Hampshire Taupe

Impulsively went and bought this paint but it is much, much darker and much more brown than in this photo. I brought it back to remix and it still is too dark and brown. Either this photo is not BM 990 or it was mixed at 50% for this room. Don't make my mistake, get a sample from the store first. I have 3 huge windows with southern exposure and it's still too deep a shade

I think that is very difficult to look at colors in pictures on the computer. There are too many variables, such as the settings on your monitor, the filters on the camera, color correction in the editing software. Even the furniture in the room tends to alter the appearance of the color.
Just have pint size samples made up and put them on the wall to see if the color works.
I would agree with your assessment as well. As I recall, the actual color of this room is darker than how if appears in this photo.

@ Cardea Building- This is almost an off white. To me it looks like it could be Cedar Key 982, or Frosted Coffee 988. I agree the number they posted looks dark on the deck. Good Luck.

Bought a sample of the Hampshire Taupe BM to color one of my bedrooms and it is way too dark. I don't believe that the paint color in this picture is Hampshire Taupe.

I just painted our guest room Hampshire Taupe and it looks exactly like the color in the picture

The picture makes the paint color look as if it has a touch of lavender beneath it. I got a sample from my Lowes store that I'm going to try and see if I like it.
