No It was not intentional. I specified the design and frame; the contractor purchased the basins. The homeowner approved, so I let it be.

Understandable. I installed the RH Gramercy stand in my place, and couldn't even find a fully glazed basin in the Twin Cities and had to ship one in. I guess most non-designers wouldn't notice, but I'm picky ;)

I just installed a console table similar to this picture. The contractor, designer, and myself did not catch the fact we did not order a glazed underside until after installation.

I am picky too & do not like the unglazed look.

The marble & under mount sink were installed. Can the sink be replaced or painted? If we paint it, is there a special product to use?

I actually like the unglazed look here. I am having a washstand fabricated in polished nickel and just ordered the basin from Waterworks with a glazed underside. I am also using polished nickel for the mirror, faucet, and sconces. After seeing this bathroom, I think that I will order an unglazed underside sink and see how they look in the space before I have one of them mounted. I like how the matte finish looks with all of the polished surfaces here. The ease of cleaning the glazed underside may be the deciding factor, but we'll see. I also like that you used 3 baskets rather than 4. Great work.
