carrara marble tiles - are there different qualities?

Are some carrara marble tiles (large size) and slabs NOT from carrara, italy? Any suppliers better than others?

I have no idea about suppliers, but I have a word of caution. We put the large Carrera marble tiles in our master bath, and while beautiful, I did not realize that yellow veins run throughout. When I purchased the tiles, we went over the color variations in detail, because the suppliers make you sign off that you understand variation exists and the product is not returnable. No one informed us about the yellow veins. They were in about one third of the product, and we had to buy several additional boxes to find pieces without the yellow. It looked stained. :(

Carrara marble is an organic product, thus variations are inherent. If you embrace those variations, it is fine. Do a search on marble on houzz discussions for more info.

And keep in mind that marble is very slippery - I do not recommend it for this reason.
