Ridiculous, but convenient?

What is something ridiculous, but convenient you wish you had in your home? Example, like the photo shown below, a mini fridge in the bathroom. Not typical, but let's really think about it, how awesome would it be to grab a nice cold drink while you're in the tub!?

Tell us what unconventional, but equally awesome, idea you would like to place in any room in your home. If you have photos, post those too!

Ok ridiculous but convenient: one of my friends (who is wealthy enough to do this (and an architect) wanted a living room with the sectional looking out to the garden; her husband wanted the sectional to face the TV walls. So she installed one of those rotating floors used in car show rooms. Now, at the click of a button she can turn her entire seating area to face the garden OR the TV. Beats the TV over the fireplace debate...Yes in a crazy world I would love it - but ..... not

We'd like to build a pony wall to replace our stair rail to the basement and install a TV lift so we can arrange furniture in an otherwise awkward footprint, so we can put chairs flanking the fireplace.. This, instead of the TV over the fireplace.

A basement with a movie room. You may not think that is ridiculous, but I live in Florida and having a basement is a big deal. Having a room that is fully blacked out from sunlight would keep me from having to pull every curtain in the house, or waiting until dark to get that theater experience at home.

I was recently in a home with a gorgeous wine cellar. The room was probably 30'x30'...truly amazing.

LOL...there's always the 17,000 sq. ft. attic in that mansion Candy Spelling sold.

Alicejean many large kitchens have two dishwashers and I always found it puzzling until one home owner (whose kitchen wasn't all that large at all) said that they love it because it saved time when they entertained and everyday cupboard space since they use one dishwasher as a "cupboard" for all of their day today dishes. The dishes go directly to the table from the dishwasher. The other dishwasher is loaded with the days dirty dishes. The step of unloading the dishes from dishwasher to the cupboard, then removing from the cupboard to the table is removed - all of their day to day dishes went from the dishwasher directly to the table, then when dirty into the other dishwasher. It made perfect sense to me and if I had the space I'd do the same.

We designed a his and hers bathroom once that was joined by the walk in shower. So each side had their own WC, vanity, and walk in closet, then they met in the middle in the shower with two doors. It was efficient and has been working well.

If it's convenient, how can it then be ridiculous?

The house I mentioned with the wine cellar actually had 3 dishwashers. The realtor said the third one was installed just for glasses.

I REALLY want two dishwashers. Since we are a family of 7 and homeschool, and the dishwasher already runs an average of 2 times a day, I don't think it's ridiculous.

If I had a large family, I would want two washers and dryers to go with my two dishwashers.

I would like a large drawer as a dish drainer to keep my hand washed items off the counter. Wash them, place them in the drawer to dry and close. I'd probably need some way to circulate air, but every kitchen without a dishwasher should definitely have one.

ASV I designed a window display in a kitchen bedroom and bathroom showroom with a changing floor like that a few years ago ! had three displays in one area and they changed it all the time !! was on a main road near traffic lights - so lots if waiting traffic ! worked brilliantly. !!

floor was a turning circle ( usually used in small garages ) mechanically moved to change the front window display as required !

One of my client's asked me to source a cabinet for their master bedroom in which to store a coffee maker, small fridge etc so they could have their coffee on their private terrace. Here's a photo (it's the cabinet in front of the fireplace). Not ridiculous - more heavenly...

We just bought a house from a couple who thought of DETAILS! It actually does have 2 dishwashers & built in night lights that lead from the master bed to the potty.
My fave is THIS! A mini fridge only 5 steps from the main refrigerator - This is our "coffee bar." Love it!

Rebecca, I love that bedroom! You should put it in your projects, so we can add it to our idea books!

WANT -- A spigot in the garage that's tied into a hot water line so we can wash out all of the grime that comes with winter driving. I hate tracking that stuff into the house.

HAVE -- Two sinks in the kitchen. The second sink is primarily used for hand washing and beverages.
