Painting my exterior oak door blue.

12 years ago
I have been wanting to add color to the exterior of my home. I have a two flat grey stone with black railings. I honestly believe blue doors will really give it some roadside appeal.

1. Family believes I will regret painting over my oak natural varnish doors.
2. Could staining my doors blue vs. painting my doors an option?
3. I am daring enough to change the color to blue, however I want to know the pro's and con's of doing so.

PLEASE HELP!
