I believe this was an elm species, but do recall the wood was reclaimed from a late 1800s barn near Rushville, Indiana. My preferred species on all our counter top pieces is antique white oak. Our price is $95 a square foot, for thicknesses up to 1.75" and the counters are finished and ready to install. We sell across the U.S. and shipping is much less than you would think. Please inquire directly to my address of Fletcher@ABMWOOD.com and I'll send photos of our other work. Even if you have no interest in having work produced by us.
Shalom, Fletcher
