If you want this color use Stifkey Blue by Farrow and Ball. I painted my husband's office exactly like this and did a sunroom which is predominantly windows and stone walls the same color...there are only slivers of the blue in there and it looks over water and looks awesome. Stifkey is a fantastic color...be sure to use tinted primer first or you will need to do too many coats to achiever the depth of color!

This is a stunning room with dramatic contrast and just the right amount of warmth added by the browns/golds and fireplace flame. The shelf (seen in the mirror) over the door is absolutely intriguing—wish there was another photo of the other side of this room. Perfectly photographed room as well as the way you framed the image in the mirror-giving us two excellent images in one!

That is wonderful, I had not consciously noticed the image reflected by the mirror but now that you mention it, quite lovely!

I don't think stiffkey blue looks like this having tested it vs Hague blue for a room. Hague blue is a great choice for this look.

It could just be my computer screen but it looks exactly like Stiffkey which I look at daily. Important to try colors in your own space and pick what is fetching to you.

If stiffkey blue is too light, just have some white pulled out of it when it is mixed. Even though Farrow&Ball's paint comes premixed, our supplier also mixes their paints. They tried this with Benjamin Moore's Polo Blue which is a great navy blue and were able to achieve the black/blue I wanted.

This looks like Inkwell by Sherwin Williams. I painted my office this color.
