Is it wise to put an oven next to the refrigerator?

I was told by a contractor never put an oven right next to the refrigerator as seen in the above photo. I have a kitchen designer telling me it is not a problem. Who do I believe?

Sometimes it is hard to know who's differing advice to follow. I would listen to your designer in this case. I am also a designer and asked that very question to my appliance sales rep and was assured that it is not a problem. I have since designed many kitchens with the fridge and the wall oven/micro combo side by side. If you look at both the Miele and the Subzero/Wolf websites they both show kitchens with that configuration. I think they would know. If you are still unsure, just call an appliance store (not a big box store) and get it right from the source. Good-luck.

I have my Fridge right next to my wall oven for the last 10 years and no problems a contractor did this so many years ago

fridge may need more energy to keep cool next to 2 hot ovens, but does look nice
