Diy door canopy

I am lookin to replace my ugly metal door awnings with something a little nicer. I have posted a picture of my brick home with the current awning, and another picture of the type of canopy I want. I have searched for hours and cannot find clear instructions on how to build such a canopy, or if I can even buy one. Please help!

If you can afford a covered porch, I would go that route.

Also, I don't see the other picture if the canopy you want. I'm looking at this on my phone so functionality might not allow me to see it.

I would think any professional home remodeler-carpenter could build that for you. I would not consider DIY....

I like the canopy you chose for that side door. It is perfect! I would be more inclined to get it done by a good carpenter rather than attempt it myself but I know my limitations. :) At least get the quotes from a professional to see what the actual cost would be in terms of both money and time.

DIY is for people who do not want to spend the money to pay a contractor. Looking at the comments on here you guys sure have a lot of money that the average joe doesn't have to spend so, we learn how to do things ourselves. And, I am never dissatisfied with the work that I do. These sites are for people like me, not for people who are looking to "shop" for someone else to do your work for you.
