Distance from crown to lower molding?

I do not expect an answer from the design firm... but if someone has done something similar,
What distance would you recommend the lower molding offset should from the bottom of the crown-molding?

I’ll attach two links for your reference. The one that will answer your question about the picture rail placement is “the magical entablature”. The other is about the misguided chair rail.

Through recent research I found that the classical mouldings are all derived from the classical orders of the Greeks and Romans. Everything is proportioned based on the height of the order, in this case the height of the room. The crown, picture rail, casings, baseboard and chair rail all have set proportions.
