I can't do the turquoise trellis without a picture of the whole rug. Here are the other two and the cowhide and the two pieces of art. I also lengthened your curtains. You seem to be getting carried away with blue and black.

Your furniture have sharp edges ,you need some curves .So I would use more subtle rug but with pattern.

We have a great web based app call "Ask A Designer" where you can take a photo of your room and our designers when pick rugs for you send you back the image so that you can see just how it will look in your room.

Thank you for your input, I do however prefer a neutral clean sleek look with a pop of color as apposed to too many different colors. How do you think a black and ivory chevron rug would look? any suggestions on how I can add some colours while still maintaining a clean look?

If you want a clean neutral look, then you need to lose the curtains. Choose your pillows from the same hue of blue/green, and choose art with a bit more variation in hues.

A black chevron rug will look almost like the black trellis rug you asked to have Photoshopped, except more boring.

I think the room is already pretty neutral. The curtains and pillows add just the right amount of colour for my taste. The curtains are pretty (there staying). I think neutral coloured curtains will blend in too much with the wall. Was looking to maybe add more colour and texture with wall art and a new rug. Otherwise I'm not interested in changing anything else in the room.

In this post and in your original post you received lots of ideas including photoshoped rugs.
I don't know what else we are supposed to do for you.

I wasn't asking for any ideas in my last comment. Simply making a point that I was only interested in ideas for a new rug and wall art that would compliment my existing decor, not changing the whole room, as I am pleased with what I have done so far. Though it may not be that interesting to someone else it is what I like. It's an open post , someone else may have some other ideas that have not already been mentioned. Thank you for your input :)

Do you have kids or pets?
It would seem that it doesn't matter how hard you try to keep it clean, any rug with cream/white in it looks spotted grey very quickly. Don't know if that's an issue for you but, if so, then your original choices may not work.

I think the the mats you have chosen introduce another element that competes with what you have rather than complements. What did you think of the tan/sisally type rugs that grover photo shopped in?

Do you have your heart set on that style or would you be open to different styles?

I have a pretty good vision, can't photoshop, haven't studied the program, sorry. From the three rugs, I really like the teal and off white background rug. I think the teal brought to the floor will carry your accent color nicely. I think the others blend and the room will have a more subtle interest with smaller teal accents. I'd like to see all the colors in an artwork above the sofa. Keep it light and bright.

Thank you! I do like that particular style rug, but I'm open to other styles :) I do want a patterned rug just not sure what pattern will compliment the accent chair. I purchased a black and cream swirl rug previously and it just looked to busy. I do like the look of a chevron rug (not sure if that will work with the pattern on the chair)

The accent chair is neutral for the most part. I would choose a pattern that is larger than the chair pattern. One that has some black and teal, and any other added color in the rug will work.

FYI, your curtains are too short. You can lengthen them by adding tabs to the top or adding banding. These are sheers though, so your options are very limited. Can the rod be lowered? How far above the window is the rod?

Never mind- I saw the picture that you listed. I would seriously consider getting some longer curtains.

I like the teal rug and curtains. The curtains should be an inch off the floor. I think the size rug works if you move it closer to the sofa and the chair respectively too. I think you need more teal pillows on the sofa. The print is fine and more teal printed ones to balance the teal around the space.No dark ones.

The art is too high. I think you need a larger painting with some teal and any other colors.

Yea, I tried the black one it didn't blend well. I think I like the white one because it brings out the white in the throw.

With a white pillow, the chair doesn't seem to connect to the large amount of color and dark contrast of the sofa. It appears visually a little too separate not forming a group.

What about the pillow in the previous picture? The light grey that matches the one on the sofa...does that look better?

Gray pillow. Sorry, for me not so much. I think the weight of a darker pillow on the chair balances better with the sofa.

I'm not sure if this Moroccan tea room project that I did will inspire you as the accent colour is the same as your rug/cushions but thought I'd throw it into the mix in case. If you haven't checked out Etsy then you should look there for some less common artwork ideas. That's where I found this original painting which inspired the colours/patterns for the space. How about this pillow for the accent chair...

I like the dark gray pillow on the chair.

It looks very fresh and inviting. But it's a little too "solid" and "matchy-matchy" - since your curtains are too short (sorry but they really are) why don't you change them for something in the same colour palette but that has a pattern? I think then your room would really come together nicely. Also lower the artwork which I think was already suggested. Hope this helps!

You've received a lot of good advice. I think the cowhide but larger helps to compliment the angles of the rest of the room. The art work larger and lower, the curtains longer will all help. Use the dark grey accent cushion & don't forget that third colour; I love the yellow that was suggested earlier. Have fun & be sure that in the end it is a reflection of you...that's the only way you'll really love it.

Thanks :) I'll have to work on adjusting the height of the curtain rod, and I'm still working on larger wall art. In the meantime how does this work for the height of the wall art?

Maybe a little lower and can you move them a little closer together? You're almost there - don't give up!
