Try your local lowes or Home Depot for some cabinets that are premade. You will want to measure the area for cabinets and take them with you. And it should be free advice at lowes or Home Depot

You might also try IKEA if you have one in your area........

Hi there,, I just went threw a kitchen renovation and I went everywhere to get quotes.. Home depo and lowes where both very expensive! I went to kitchen cabinet makers with elaborate store fronts and they too where extremely expensive.. I finally found a local carpenter that was in my budget range and because he had no fancy store fronts I was able to afford wood cabinets as well as convert a pantry closet into a built in cabinet unit that now has my microwave built in, that opened up my counter space.. Home depo doesn't demo anything and charges as though they were.. My cousin used IKEA in her home and it looks great but she suggested that if I did choose IKEA to find an IKEA installer.. If this is a rental property I would totally go IKEA in your case.. Good luck to you..

Here are some samples of small kitchen designs that are functional and beautiful. Keep in mind that with a small kitchen, you'll want to keep your cabinets on the light side. Otherwise the space tends to feel very closed-in and ultra small. I agree with the other designers. IKEA, Home Depot, and Loews are good places to start. Have you discussed doing small updates/renovations with your landlord? I would hate to see you spend $ in a place that isn't technically yours on custom fitted cabinets. Unless you're planning on taking the cabinets with you?

- If it's just wall cabinets you are looking for, some K&B distributors tend to sell displays which may work for you.
- I'm not sure what your budget is like, or what the landlord will allow you to do on your own.... but even bookshelves would work, so you can take them with you if you ever leave (if they are open bookshelves, you can use a spring rod & curtains that match your decor as make shift doors).
- Yard Sales! Sometimes people move into a house that doesn't have the exact kitchen they like, so they renovate it, leaving them with relatively new cabinets to sell. or even check Craig's List.
